The American Fibertek 48-PoE-HP Series transmits and receives (2) copper10/100 Base-T Ethernet signals at the RJ45 ports and (1) optical 100 Base-FXover 1 or2 multimodefibers. Thesystem is comprisedof twounitsforming a point-to-point communications link.The 48-PoE-HP Series also sources upto 60 Watts of powerto an Ethernet powered device (PD) from one RJ45 port. The power is carried overall 4 pairs of the Ethernet cable.However,it is required that the PD have independent discovery and classification interfaces for both the data pair and the spare pair of the Ethernet cable.
