Description
The MX-49-LX-1F-SC-PoE-HP from American Fibertek is a transmits and receives (2) copper 10/100/1000 Base-T Ethernet signals at the RJ45 ports and (2) optical 1000
Base-(LX or SX) over 1 or 2 multimode fibers. The system is comprised of two units forming a point-to-point communications link. The sources up to 60 Watts of power to an Ethernet powered device (PD) from one RJ45 port. The power is carried over all 4 pairs of the Ethernet cable. However, it is required that the PD have
independent discovery and classification interfaces for both the data pair and the spare pair of the Ethernet cable. Both RJ45 ports may be used to deliver Ethernet data to devices. An external power supply is required. The system is designed to be completely transparent with auto negotiation features which automatically configures the unit for the correct speed (10/100/1000 Base-T). Auto MDI/MDIX operation eliminates the potential need for crossover cables. Diagnostic indicators provide a quick visual indication of system status.
