Description

The 5414-W from Interlogix is a glassbreak shock sensor mounts on windows or doors, either on the frame or on the glass. The 5400 Series responds to the shock waves that are created when the protected glass is broken. Adjustable sensitivity allows each installation to be fine-tuned, enhancing the sensor’s detection and minimizing nuisance alarms. The 5400 Series mounts quickly using special adhesive strip or screws. The tape, formulated by 3M, has been field-tested with proven reliability. The 5400 shock sensor is ideal for rooms where acoustic sensors are not practical, such as acoustically live rooms, small glass rooms, on glass mounted near kitchen sinks, in high noise areas, and on a 24-hour loop. Sensor range is up to 10′ (3.5 m). Optional magnetic reed and tamper switches are available. These models are designed to detect forced openings and glass breaking with one wire run.
