Description
The General Electric S730DV Single Channel Fiber Optic Video Transmitter (Rack) is designed to send 2-way multi-protocol data over a single fiber. Furthermore, the transmitter converts analog video to digital video and supports multimode operation. Support for multiprotocol data formats means that the transmitter can be retained even if the video control system is changed. Moreover, the forward data path from the transmitter to the receiver can be set to function as a relay. Optical Automatic Gain Control (OAGC) helps compensate for loss in signal strength. The fiber optic video transmitter also supports NTSC and PAL video formats and resolutions of up to 560 TVL. It features 7 MHz video bandwidth and offers an operating distance of 2.5 miles (4 km). Data translation allows data to be easily converted from one format to another, while data formats selected during installation can be changed in the field via a rotary switch. SMARTS diagnostic technology provides various built-in diagnostic tools including LEDs, allowing you to easily monitor the operating status of video and optical signals. The transmitter features a rack configuration and a steel construction, and offers solid-state short circuit protection.
