The 1877-605 from Adams Rite is a Cylinder-Operated Flushbolt with Armored Faceplate for Wood Doors in Bright Brass. The 1877-605 series Flushbolt is specifically designed for greater key control, preventing accidental locking of the inactive leaf of paired wood doors by children or other unauthorized persons. It uses the same basic over-center action mechanism as MS pivoted bolt deadlocks. It is recommended for installation at both top and bottom of the inactive door with MS1850S Deadlock in the active door for the greatest security. The 360-degree turn of the key throws or retracts the hex-section bolt, and the key can be removed only when the bolt is in a positively locked or unlocked position. It may be installed to lock at the threshold or at the header.
