The R1 from Alpha is an apartment buzzer call pulsator unit, used in addition to 2/3/5 wire apartment amplifiers for pulsating buzzers at individual apartment doors. The Alpha R1 buzzer pulsator units are used primarily with the S.T.R. handset type entry intercom systems, to provide a pulsating buzzer signal from the apartment’s individual entry door pushbutton. The R1 unit works in conjunction with the system amplifier (models NH200A, NH200TV, NH201TVA, NH201TVA-2, and NH201TT), and produce a pulsating buzzer sound at the apartment handset, using the same buzzer that is used to produce a signal from the lobby entry station.
