The NC365B from Alpha is a Transmitter/Control Unit (on-site paging system) receives alphanumeric messages and patient call information via serial interface and transmits the information directly to the NC397A pocket pagers. Information is sent to the transmitter at 9600 baud to minimize bottlenecks. Call type and location are
determined by the system supplying information to the transmitter. The NC365B Paging System Transmitter/Control Unit is pre-programmed for use with the NC300 (or NC300II) nurse-call systems, or TC500 emergency-call systems. The Unit is designed for on site paging requirements only and not for long range. The range of the system will largely depend on the site and location of the transmitter unit. To determine the exact range and coverage of the transmitter, a site survey must be done. For estimation purposes of a properly located NC365B, a range of up to one mile can be expected (line of sight), under ideal conditions. Battery back-up also available, by using the model# BA365K kit.
