The PK427A from Alpha is a dual 16VAC form ‘C’ relay unit, can also be used to trigger 2 magnetic door locks from a standard 16VAC D.O. output. The Alpha PK427A specialty relays are used for a variety of reasons. The PK427A can be connected to a standard 16VAC electric door opener output from many intercom amplifiers to allow connection to a magnetic or different type or voltage door opener. It can also be used to provide two independent ‘Form C’ relay contacts from virtually any 16VAC input source. The PK427A can even be powered directly from a 16VAC transformer. As long as a 16VAC source is present, the PK427A will engage, providing two normally-open and two normally-closed sets of contacts, each with a shared ‘common’ screw terminal.
