The TYCTRNSCDR is a Tyco Transcoder that adds an additional 14 transcoding channels to VideoEdge NVRs. Adding multiple transcoders to an NVR provides the scalability to meet live video streaming requirements while maintaining a small form factor that can be easily deployed in a variety of environments. Its simplified set-up reduces installation time getting your system up-and-running quickly providing an enhanced user experience. The ability to remotely view video is an integral aspect of any video management system. Unfortunately, with high-resolution cameras providing larger video streams and limited bandwidth available on internal or external networks, the capabilities to transmit video to remote clients successfully are often inadequate. Video transcoding dynamically adjusts video stream properties such as applied codec, frame rate, and resolution to better adapt to available network bandwidth resources.
