At times, when installing a home theater, the limits of cable length can become a problem when distancing and separating components. All cable types suffer from issues of signal degradation, limited maximum length or the exorbitant cost of long cable runs. To address this, Gefen has created the AUD-1000 Analog Audio Extender which has the capability to convert and broadcast analog audio. This bi-directional (1 in, 1 out, simultaneous) signal can be transmitted over a single inexpensive and common CAT5 network cable to connect the sender and receiver units over great distances. The signal path is able to maintain complete stereo signal with a maximum range of 1000 feet (300 m).
Features
- Feature: Extends any unbalanced analog audio device up to 1000 feet (300 m) from the source – This allows for flexible audio setups without worrying about cable length limitations.
- Feature: Streamlines audio installations by allowing source devices to be located off-site or in an unseen rack – Enhances the aesthetics of your home theater setup by reducing visible cables.
- Feature: Helps to eliminate computer noise or hum and electro-magnetic interference created by desktop computers – Ensures a clean and clear audio signal for an optimal listening experience.
